T'ai Chi classes are offered every Monday evening. Join us for an hour of fun and relaxation as instructor, Dan Retoff, conducts classes from 6:00- 7:00 pm. All levels are welcome!
Meditation Class will follow t'ai chi from 7:15 - 8:00. Come to either one or both!

A Zen Life: D. T. Suzuki Music at the Mansion Northwestern Strings Second Sundays Lecture Series
"Mummies, Sphinxes, and Scarabs, Oh My!: A Survey of Egyptomania in America"
This film shows the life story of Daisetz Teitaro Suzuki who came to La Salle in 1897 to work as a translator for the Open Court Publishing Company and stayed for 11 years. The film showing is free to the public but donations are always welcome. Instructor, Stacia Spencer brings this group of fifteen young violinists to perform for our monthly concert series. Presented by Heather Plaza-Manning, Manager of Programs, Charnely-Persky House Museum, and Executive Assistant, Society of Architectural Historians.

The Life and Times of the Hegeler Carus Mansion

Enroll now to learn how one family integrated industry, philosophy, and religion to create a fascinating legacy. Four week course is $25.00 and class size is limited, so phone 815-224-5892 or 815-224-5895 to enroll. Volunteers Brian Benkse, Maryhelen Bidasio, Ken Ficek, and Sandee Donahue lead the classes with help from Tricia Kelly, Tour Director & Sharon Wagenknecht, Executive Director.

Relive Christmas in the late 1800's with this reenactment of a holiday party given by the Hegelers and Caruses - and you're invited! Local actors portray important people of the era.
