A visit to the Mansion may be combined with a trip to nearby Starved Rock State Park, Matthiessen State Park, any of the historic attractions along the I & M Corridor, or the Lincoln home and tomb in Springfield. La Salle is within comfortable driving distance from Chicago (2 hours), Bloomington (1 hour), Rockford (1 hour), and Springfield (2.75 hours). I-39 provides easy access to the Hegeler Carus Mansion, located just a mile west from the Route 6 exit.
