La Salle, IL: The Hegeler Carus Mansion is all dressed up this holiday season! The Mansion is adorned with Victorian Flair and local friends and businesses have trimmed the trees. Make this an annual tradition to celebrate the holidays by joining us for one or more of our holiday events!
Oh, Christmas Tree Tour is a guided 45-minute, yuletide experience where guests experience holiday cheer on the grand Main and Second Floors, including areas not shown on the General Tour. After the tour, vote for and/or place a bid on your favorite, fully decorated one-of-a-kind tree. Nov 6-Dec 20, 2025, check website for days/times. Tickets $25/person.
More the Merrier Tour is a guided 2.5 hour (with walking breaks) NEW Expanded Christmas Tree tour unwrapping more of the family history and holiday traditions while taking you to 6 of the 7 levels in the house! You’ll experience the joy of the "Oh, Christmas Tree Tour” with the added bonus of exploring the attics, cupola, gymnasium, and more. Saturdays Nov 8-Dec 20 (except Dec 13th), check website for times. Tickets $125/person.
Sankt Nikolaus himself has confirmed he will make two special visits to the Mansion. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a photo with him! Enjoy cookies and hot cocoa during his visit-if you’ve been good all year! Sat, Dec 6th 2-8pm and Sat, Dec 20th 9am-2pm. Allow 10-20 minutes for each session. Each session $20 for 5 digital photos.
Tannenbaum Brunch will feature an elaborately decorated Mansion, delicious holiday brunch by Good Morning Good Day Cafe and Blue-Eyed Rascal Bakery Co., and holiday music performed by Manderley Strings with seating throughout the decorated areas of the Mansion. The winning bids for the Christmas Tree Silent Auction will be announced during the brunch. Sat, Dec13th 11am-1pm. Tickets $65/person (limited seating available).
Don’t have time for a full tour? No worries! Come to our first Holiday Open House. This self-guided mini holiday tour allows visitors to explore the Main Floor of the Mansion at their own pace. Each room features a one-of-a-kind Christmas Tree. Sat, December 13th 2- 4pm. Tickets $15/person.
